Wow!  It's hard to believe that we are beginning our 3rd marking period.  This year is going by so quickly but we have made great progress toward our goal ... 5th grade!!  Here is what 4B has been up to:

We are learning how pray and live the 10 Commandments, as we continue to live the Beatitudes every day.

We are completing our 3rd Reading unit.  We are about to begin reading biographies about famous americans.  Look for the books to be coming home and activities to follow.

In Language Arts we are hard at work  learning verbs.  We learned that verbs help tell a story and 4B wrote some wonderful, fun stories.  We've also done some poetry and written beautiful haikus.

4B is just about at the halfway mark in Math.  Our vocabulary word wall is growing every day.  There will be weekly vocabulary quizzes from this point on so words should be going home for review weekly.

We are approaching Unit 3 in Social Studies : The American Revolution and the United States Constitution.  Wer are learning how New York was involved in the Revolution and where George Washington took the oath of office as the first president of the United States.

As you can see we are busy in 4th grade, busy growing and learning new things every day.
