Pre-K and Nursery School News
Happy New Year to you and your family. We are looking forward to continuing our learning with your child in the new year.
Show and Tell - Your child can bring a show and tell item to school on Thursday, January 5th (nursery) Friday, January 6th (pre-k).
Pre-k children will attend First Friday Mass on January 6th at 9:00 a.m.
Both classes will learn that Jesus, Mary, and Joseph are the Holy Family and tell our friends all the people in our own family.
Nursery school children will participate in number activities; choosing and painting a number 1-12, playing musical chairs using numbers, matching numbers, and reading “Ten in the Sled.“ We will make our rainbow name, tell the letters in our name, and find our name when it is hidden in the classroom. Sorting small, medium, and large circles will help us as we also put together a snowman art project.
This week, pre-k children are introduced to letter Hh. We will make Harry Hippo, sing the Hokey Pokey and If You're Happy and You Know It, read Jan Brett's "The Hat," learn the difference between right and left hand, and tell all the things we can do with our hands that God gave to us. We will also play a game of musical chairs using numbers 1-20.Here are some of our January lessons:

Numbers and math fun
Knowing the letters in my name
